I met my husband through God's grace, with a little help from a Catholic online dating site. (If you are curious about our story, you can see the "success story" I wrote here.) I feel called to share our story because I know that there are many others out there that are too nervous or embarrassed to try online dating, and you shouldn't be! At first, I was a little shy about telling people where we met, but we are now happily married and just had our first child, so there is nothing to be embarrassed about - obviously it worked! And I truly believe that God's hand was at work in bringing us together (He is God after all, so I'm pretty sure He can figure out technology!).

I've also heard great things about Ave Maria Singles (and personally know two couples that met there). The site is committed to serving faithful, practicing Catholics, so you probably wouldn't have to be as wary of the beliefs of the people you encounter. Although I'm sure people of all ages meet on this site, the couples that I do know that met there were in their 30s and 40s, and it seemed to me that people on this site seem to be more marriage-focused than those on Catholic Match (which may have to do with its emphasis on serving faithful, practicing Catholics).
Another difference between the two sites is that there is a one-time fee for Ave Maria Singles (which means a bigger up-front cost) but you can search for a spouse until you find him/her, while you pay monthly for Catholic Match (they do have discounts for longer periods of time). I paid for a six month membership when I signed up, but met my husband on Catholic Match within two weeks of being on, so you never know how long you'll need it, but I can't say that I regret the cost - my husband was more than worth it.
