Catholic Pregnancy Loss Ebook: Submissions Wanted

Hi all! I'm interrupting my blogging break to announce a new project I'm taking on.  I'm putting together an ebook on pregnancy loss especially for Catholic women.  It will include chapters of various women's personal accounts and experiences, as well as topical chapters such as:
  • how to commemorate your baby
  • pregnancy after loss
  • physical healing after miscarriage
  • how to respond to hurtful comments
  • prayers
  • profiles of Saints who are special intercessors of pregnancy and loss
  • reflections on specific scriptures
  • etc.

If you would like to contribute, please contact me messywifeblessedlife@gmail.com for more details.  Feel free to pass this information on to others who you think may be interested in contributing. The deadline for first drafts is August 1st.

  1. Thank you for doing this book. I also have a few miscarriage related projects I have been working on. If we are truly a pro-life people, then the loss of these innocent babies needs to be held up by the entire community as an opportunity for grace and healing and support and community and love. I still believe if we as Catholics were better at handling miscarriage as an issue, the world would be a much more friendly and open place for all life because we would be walking the talk of the sanctity of all life at all stages. Bravo to you!

  2. I just found your blog while searching info on Catholics who have had miscarriages. I have 7 living children and have lost 6 to miscarriage with the last one last week at age 47 (ill be 48 on Tuesday). I just wanted to encourage you and others. I had 3 miscarriages when i had 2 young children and never thought i would get the large family i had dreamed about. But we found help through the Pope Paul VI institute via Creighton method. My problems were from low progesterone. I went on to have 5 more children. My other losses were in my 40's probably due to other reasons as the progesterone did'nt work. It still is a possibility to have a large family even with a lot of losses.
