I worked with Tiny Love several months ago to review their 3-in-1 Rocker Napper (which we loved), so when I decided to put together a review/giveaway event for Lucia's first birthday, I immediately contacted them to see if they would want to participate. And they did! After perusing their website, I found the perfect 1st birthday gift for my Lucia, the Musical Stack & Ball Game. And I was right, she absolutely adores it!
The Musical Stack & Ball Game is a few toys in one. It comes with three balls that rattle when you shake them (Lucia was immediately taken with these balls and had to carry them around for the rest of the day). the head of the elephant and the rings that make up its "body" can be taken apart and it becomes a stacker. Finally, when the balls are dropped into the elephant, it plays music and the balls come out the bottom. Lucia loves to dance and found the music to be the best part of the toy! Here's a little video showing her dancing away!
It only took a minute or two for Lucia to figure out how to put the balls in. Here's another video of her putting a ball in for the first time (the stackable parts have been taken off the base).
This is a wonderful toy for Lucia and exactly at her level, but can also be used with younger babies. The Tiny Love website does a great job breaking down the ways you can use this with younger and older babies (click here to see it). This fits perfectly with my perception of Tiny Love as a company dedicated to products that can grow with your baby. The Rocker Napper was made for little ones newborn - 40 pounds and the Musical Stack & Ball Game suits babies from 6 months and up (I imagine Lucia will have fun with it for at least the next six months). It helps teach cause and effect (put the ball in the elephant and music plays) and fine motor skills (balls can either be put in the large opening of the elephant's head or, with the stackable parts removed, in a small opening). If you are looking for a gift for a little one, from shower through baby's first birthday, the Musical Stack & Ball Game is a great choice.
The only downside I can find of this product is that the box did not clearly say what type of batteries were needed (3 AAs) which was a bit frustrating since I wanted to be sure to have the right ones on hand when she opened her gift.

My twins would LOVE this!
ReplyDeleteI would definitely get this for my own baby, and I think she would love the rattling balls and dance to the music too!
