Professional Family Photos / One-Year-Old Session (pt 2)

I had so many favorite photos from our December family photo/Lucia's one-year-old session that I had to make two posts!  To see the pictures from the first post, click here.

We took extended family pictures first with my parents and grandparents.  (I didn't include any for privacy reasons but I assure you, they came out amazing!)  After they left, Lucia was quite grumpy, so we decided to go outside.  She did much better outdoors (even though it was freezing) but still wasn't too smiley.  The photographer asked if she would like sitting on a doorstep on her own so he could get some individuals or her.  For some reason, Lucia loves to sit on little chairs or stair steps - I think it makes her feel like a big girl sitting in her own seat - and from the moment we put her there, she was a happy girl.  We were even able to set her back on the doorstep at the end of the session so we could get a picture of just the two of us.  Now that we have Lulu, there just aren't many pictures of just daddy & mama anymore - it's nice to remember that it all started with just the two of us.
