I'm not sure if Jen is hosting today because she gave birth to her son, Joseph Thomas, on Monday and he is in the NICU for some breathing troubles, so would you say a prayer that he'll be able to breath on his own and go home soon? Thanks!

This week has surprisingly gone by quickly. I can't believe it's already Friday. I thought it would go by particularly slowly because we are waiting to hear back about a potential job opportunity for David next Thursday. I'm trying not to get too expectant, but I say that every time and never listen to my own advice. We're also waiting to hear back about another opportunity but that one has no specific date and it may still be another month or so. I blame all this waiting on my impatience. God must be trying to teach me patience. I think it's working?
On my nightstand:
my Kindle Fire
My first copy of the Magnificat. Is it May 1st yet?
The mom of my high school friend just self-published a cookbook full of no grain, no sugar, no gluten, no soy, no corn, no peanut recipes. She was suffering from Graves disease and decided to treat it through diet change and her Graves disease is now gone. If you have food allergies, follow a grain/gluten free diet, or are looking for an alternative way to treat pain/illness, you might want to check out Reclaim Your Health Through Healing Cuisine. I just got my copy today! The Kindle version is available on Amazon, or you can order a hard copy from her blog.
Have you seen Reasons My Son is Crying? So hilarious. So simple. Every parent can relate. Also, why didn't I think of that? We'd be so famous.
Because I wanted to take her picture.
My view on the way home from work on Monday. I'm blessed to live in a place with such wildlife. This was in a small field in the city limits, surrounded by neighborhoods.
Lulu just started saying "Mommy" (instead of "mama"). Of course, I think it's precious. And I actually caught it on video (for once)!
